Merry Christmas Eve! Stay all warm and snuggly in your homes!
[She waves and seems to have almost completely recovered from her little stint the other day. But she'd really rather not mention it. Instead, feel free to notice that she's got a bag with her.]
Aaaand don't come to mine. I'm moving! Don't look for me. I'll be fine. If you need me, call Matthew - if he doesn't mind taking my messages - and I'll get it one way or another. Lastly, if you see a certain brooding male with brown hair and these very noticeable gold eyes, don't tell him a thing about me. Also, there's a Roman Numeral 13 tattoo on him if you need more identification. Say that my name on the SFC is a malfunction and that I left a while ago. I'll explain later!
[A grin and then she presses a button, expecting to hang up. In her haste, she manages to miss it and instead of just privately calling Matthew, everyone manages to hear the next part. The notes of happiness leave her voice and she seems tired for a bit.]
Hey Matthew, we need to talk. [A pause before she starts laughing.] Oh, don't think I'm breaking up with you, though. I left some of my stuff at your place, right?
[... oh. Just realizing that everyone's hearing this. Even more laughter.]
Inside joke, inside joke! Ignore that and remember: don't tell Train a thing!

Date: 2010-12-25 01:36 am (UTC)[She just laughs a bit, though it's clear the thought exhausts her.]
Close. Train already disappeared by Christmas. I didn't see him again until New Year's.
[New Year's. Fireworks. She trusts him to figure it out.]

Date: 2010-12-25 02:06 am (UTC)No better way to get your mind off of things than to constantly move apartments, I suppose.
no subject
Date: 2010-12-25 02:13 am (UTC)[She laughs.]
Idle chatter helps too. When's your birthday, Matthew?
no subject
Date: 2010-12-25 02:18 am (UTC)I'm not really sure.
[He didn't particularly have much in the way of a childhood, after all.]
no subject
Date: 2010-12-25 02:21 am (UTC)That's okay. Me too.
But if you don't mind, I figure we might as well assign you a birthday.
no subject
Date: 2010-12-25 02:28 am (UTC)At this point? I'm not really sure there's a point to it.
You don't know when your birthday is?
no subject
Date: 2010-12-25 02:43 am (UTC)[A shrug.] Not exactly? I kinda just picked one for myself after I woke up from the coma. It wasn't like any of my relatives or foster families knew the truth more than I did.
no subject
Date: 2010-12-25 02:46 am (UTC)I guess they could be. It sounds like more effort than it's worth, though.
So? When is your birthday, then?
no subject
Date: 2010-12-25 02:50 am (UTC)[She waves off that one.]
Later, later. We're figuring out yours first.
no subject
Date: 2010-12-25 02:54 am (UTC)[...pffff.]
Fine then. Pick a date. It doesn't really matter to me.
no subject
Date: 2010-12-25 02:58 am (UTC)[A pause and... she's trying to think of a day that may mean something to him.
But then she realizes he's Matthew and getting him to admit such a day (if it even existed) would be a pain in the butt.
So what does she do when she can't do something for him? She does something for herself instead-]
How's the day we met?
no subject
Date: 2010-12-25 03:02 am (UTC)That is very sappy, Saya.
But sure, why not? It doesn't matter either way to me.
Now when is your birthday?
no subject
Date: 2010-12-25 03:04 am (UTC)Shut up, we can't use Dem's method for you. I don't want to grab a calendar and play darts with the whole year.
[And then she huffs.]
... in a week.
no subject
Date: 2010-12-25 03:06 am (UTC)Ah.
Well.
Happy birthday, Saya. I doubt you'll be in a celebratory mood, but what do you do for birthdays?
no subject
Date: 2010-12-25 03:07 am (UTC)What do you mean not in a celebratory mood?
How many people get to celebrate the first anniversary of their own death?
no subject
Date: 2010-12-25 03:10 am (UTC)Sometimes you try to purposefully prove me wrong, I think.
no subject
Date: 2010-12-25 03:15 am (UTC)But she'll only shrug in return.]
... sometimes.
To answer your previous question? I get myself a load of food, pay a visit to whoever I know in the town, and...
[Always consider buying a train ticket to her childhood home. She shakes her head.]
Just enjoy myself for the day. There tends to be a festival in town to celebrate. The fireworks are pretty, all things considered.
no subject
Date: 2010-12-26 06:30 am (UTC)I doubt we'll be able to manage fireworks, but I'd bet we could manage the rest.
no subject
Date: 2010-12-26 07:27 am (UTC)Thoughtful, but I'm on the fence about it.
no subject
Date: 2010-12-27 11:30 pm (UTC)no subject
Date: 2010-12-29 04:18 am (UTC)[Ignore the tone of confusion. She shakes her head and laughs instead.]
Nah. Knowing the people around here, they'll probably throw a big party anyway. Let's just go to that.
[They probably would've either way, but this time she's telling him in advance.]
no subject
Date: 2010-12-29 12:59 pm (UTC)I suppose that counts as doing something. Fair enough. We'll go to that, then.
no subject
Date: 2010-12-29 10:00 pm (UTC)[A pause.]
Speaking of making things easier, do something for me while you're out and about, will you?
no subject
Date: 2010-12-31 08:04 am (UTC)[He's listening.]
no subject
Date: 2010-12-31 08:22 am (UTC)I just don't want him to get in trouble.
